Carolyn Rutschis the Director of Development. She cultivates and stewards relationships with LPI’s foundation funders, building and managing a pipeline of investors for its work.
Prior to joining LPI, Rutsch was Director of Foundation Relations at the National Women’s Law Center, where she led the fundraising strategy for child care and early learning, family income supports, job quality, and other issues supporting the well-being of families. Rutsch has consulted with nonprofits to secure foundation funding, including on early childhood teacher preparation; was Associate Director at Children’s 必威app官网下载Resources International for an international education reform initiative; and was a Research Consultant for Macro International, where she conducted federal research and evaluation studies related to early childhood education, child welfare, and family economic supports.
Rutsch holds an M.A. in Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Policy at the University of Texas and a B.A. in History with a minor in Latin American Studies from Princeton University.
